The Canon 400mm f/2.8L EF IS Super Telephoto Lens USM is a super telephoto L-series lens with an Image Stabilizer is one of the best lenses for wildlife and nature photography, as well as low-light and sports situations. The optical system is designed with a maximum aperture of f/2.8. One fluorite element and two UD-glass elements effectively correct aberrations resulting in sharp and excellent delineation.

The Canon 400mm f/2.8L EF IS is compatible with the Canon 1.4x Extender to the 400 f/2.8 IS yields a still-fast 560mm f/4 IS lens, adding a Canon 2x Extender will result in an 800mm f/5.6 IS lens that will autofocus on all Canon EOS bodies.

This lens is very heavy, we highly recommend the use of a strong tripod with a gimbal head. The lens will come with an aftermarket Really Right Stuff LCF-51 Arca-swiss compatible replacement foot.
